The Journey
|
I will go this way to reache the light, Down through the valley of endless night, Face down the demons, the eaters of souls, The witches, the dragons, the dark hearted trolls.
On ever quicker, past the next bend, There in the distance, the glow at the end, At the end of this journey is the peace that i seek, In the land of the humble, the mild, and meek.
The faith in my heart strengthens my stride, The truth of my soul repels evil's tide, As the lamb with the lion I know no fear, With the Lord as my shephard the way is made clear.
My trip is so long, but I know i won't be late, For the doors never close at Heavens front gate.

Sonnet XIII
|
As birds soar a sun filled sky, Tears flow forth from within my eyes. A scene of beauty stretches before me, As through my tears i strain to see
What makes this scene unique in its ways. Then your face appears through the haze. O, now i see! its all at once made clear, Before, my vision, blocked by fear
could not see through the night. Now your beauty has cleared my sight, Allowing me to see at long last, the beauty of you I had missed in the past. Mistake you not me tears for tears of pain, For they now fall in joys refrain.

Sonnet IV. The Night
|
Darkness speaks to all that is, giving its council free. Darkness speaks of which it is, and what it longs to be.
It has not been forever cold, forever scorned by light, Once they danced two as one, a lovers embrace so right.
But day cared not for nighttimes frost, So love once gained by night was lost, Eternity apart the frightful cost.
Now darkness speaks to lovers new, Advising them of what to do, else their tears fall as mornings dew.
